Word so it in the pipeline to shut its store in Echo Park, Calif., which is the first shop it previously unsealed, appeared previously this week, as Bizwomen's sibling book L.A. Biz reported.
It's another move by CEO Paula Schneider, one of Bizwomen's ladies we watched in 2015, to make all over youth-oriented clothing chain.
Half of the shops the company submitted a movement to shut in brand-new court papers have been in Ca. Those contain its Echo Park home on Sunset Boulevard, 3rd Street Promenade shop in Santa Monica; Fashion Valley Mall in north park, and another shop in Santa Clara, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
The rest of the stores it petitioned to shut feature two into the nyc area, including Jersey City, N.J. at the Newport Mall; and Norwalk, Conn. The others are at Bridgeport Village in Tigard, Ore.; and Madison, Wis.
The stores are anticipated to shut Jan. 30, in accordance with court papers. The Los Angeles-based retail string, which runs 230 stores worldwide, cited becoming struggling to negotiate an “acceptable rent extension, ” large rents or a failure to turnaround product sales slumps in November and very early December as known reasons for the additional closures.
