This isn't very the Black Friday purchase we had hoped from Oak, the goth-leaning rules brand that ailing US Apparel snapped up couple of years straight back. Following the NYC-based label's attempts to save itself through the chopping block, a judge has given its LA-based parent business the green light to shutter Oak's four brick-and-mortar boutiques.
After processing for bankruptcy, the DTLA-based clothing manufacturer desired court approval to shut nine United states Apparel stores, while the entire Oak brand name, which include the areas that opened just a year ago. They are likely to close by January 31st, 2016 or sooner, even though the AA stores—including Huntington Beach and Gilroy Outlet in California—will shutter before this season finishes.
We've reached off to Oak and they are incapable of comment at the moment; for the time being, we are crossing our hands that edgy-cool brand name has an 11th time success plan up its sleeves.
